This Bhujodi Kala Cotton Saree is an elegant embodiment of minimalist luxury. It showcases the refined extra-weft weaving technique that has defined the Kutch textile landscape for generations. Crafted from eco-friendly Kala cotton, this saree offers a tactile experience that is as grounded as it is sophisticated.

This is a vibrant, soul-warming creation that perfectly captures the sun-drenched spirit of the Kutch region. This saree features a bold, cheerful marigold-yellow base that instantly energizes any wardrobe. It represents the quintessential Quiet Luxury aesthetic—where the simplicity of the colour palette allows the complex, traditional manual weaving techniques to take center stage.

Fabric: 100% Organic Kala Cotton

Colour: Marigold Yellow with Red, Black, and White accents.

Craft: Traditional Bhujodi Extra-Weft Handloom Weaving.

Length: Approximately 6.2 to 6.5 meters (including 1 meter of a matching unstitched blouse piece).

Width: Approx. 45 inches.

Weight: Approx. 830 grams.

The Body: The solid, luminous yellow body is punctuated by tiny, precisely placed geometric Chhad motifs in red, black, and white. These buttis are hand-inserted using the extra-weft technique, giving the fabric a rich, tactile surface that feels both authentic and refined.

The Pallu (Decorative End): The pallu acts as the narrative heart of the piece. It transitions from the solid yellow body into a dense, layered landscape of horizontal bands. The mix of deep black lines and vibrant red accents creates a striking contrast that feels both ancient and modern. The inclusion of small, intricate Chaumukh, Panchako and Dhungali motifs within the bands showcases the high level of artisanal skill involved.

The Border: Structured red, white and black pinstriped border, providing a crisp, framing effect.

Finish: Artfully hand-knotted, dense multi-coloured tassels (red, white, and black) along the pallu edge.

Feel: Breathable, durable and textured; it provides comfort in summers and moderate warmth in winters.

To ensure the longevity of the natural fibers and the hues:

1. First Wash: Dry cleaning is highly recommended for the first wash to set the colours and preserve the intricate weft work.

2. Subsequent Washes: If hand-washing at home, use cold water and a very mild liquid detergent (or baby shampoo).

3. Process: Do not soak the saree for more than 5 minutes. Gently swirl it in the water; do not bleach or scrub, wring or twist the fabric, as this can damage the hand-woven motifs.

4. Drying: Always dry in the shade and away from direct sunlight to prevent the colours from fading. It is best to hang it on a padded hanger or lay it flat on a clean surface.

5. Ironing: Use a medium-heat setting. It is safer to iron on the reverse side of the saree to protect the raised weaving patterns.

6. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid using plastic covers; instead wrap the saree in a breathable muslin or cotton cloth bag given along with the product. Avoid hanging for long periods; folding helps maintain the shape of the handloom weave.

7. Tassel Care: Gently comb the tassels with your fingers after washing to keep them from tangling.
