This Bhujodi Kala Cotton Saree is an elegant embodiment of minimalist luxury. It showcases the refined extra-weft weaving technique that has defined the Kutch textile landscape for generations. Crafted from eco-friendly Kala cotton, this saree offers a tactile experience that is as grounded as it is sophisticated.

Set against a deep, midnight black backdrop, it features a vibrant interplay of primary colours and traditional Bhujodi motifs, making it a definitive statement piece for the modern connoisseur of heritage handlooms.

The design is characterized by its rhythmic dashed lines and an exceptionally detailed pallu that showcases the pinnacle of Bhujodi extra-weft weaving. The fabric possesses a substantial yet breathable texture, offering a structured drape that celebrates the Quiet Luxury of raw, indigenous fibers. It is a piece designed for longevity, softening beautifully with time while retaining its bold architectural character.

Fabric: 100% Organic Kala Cotton

Colour: Midnight Black with Turquoise, Yellow, Red, Green accents

Craft: Traditional Bhujodi Extra-Weft Handloom Weaving.

Length: Approximately 6.2 to 6.5 meters (including 1 meter of a matching unstitched blouse piece).

Width: Approx. 45 inches.

Weight: Approx. 830 grams.

The Body : A rich charcoal-black base featuring dashed lines (running-stitch effect) in alternating shades of turquoise, mustard, crimson and green creating a visually elongating and modern aesthetic.

The Pallu (Decorative End): A dense, tapestry-like display of horizontal bands in turquoise, red, green and yellow. The centerpiece features a row of iconic hand-woven Dungara motifs creating a large diamond, each punctuated with miniature colourful tassels along with scattered Chaumukh and Panchako motifs in between dense horizontal bands.

The Border: A bold, multi-chromatic border featuring a vibrant turquoise blue panel framed by deep red, green and mustard stripes, adding a definitive frame to the drape.

Finish: The saree concludes with an elaborate row of hand-knotted tassels in turquoise, mustard, green and crimson perfectly mirroring the saree's vibrant colour story.

Feel: Breathable, durable and textured; it provides comfort in summers and moderate warmth in winters.

1. First Wash: Dry cleaning is highly recommended for the first wash to set the colours and preserve the intricate weft work.

2. Subsequent Washes: If hand-washing at home, use cold water and a very mild liquid detergent (or baby shampoo).

3. Process: Do not soak the saree for more than 5 minutes. Gently swirl it in the water; do not bleach or scrub, wring or twist the fabric, as this can damage the hand-woven motifs.

4. Drying: Always dry in the shade and away from direct sunlight to prevent the colours from fading. It is best to hang it on a padded hanger or lay it flat on a clean surface.

5. Ironing: Use a medium-heat setting. It is safer to iron on the reverse side of the saree to protect the raised weaving patterns.

6. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid using plastic covers; instead wrap the saree in a breathable muslin or cotton cloth bag given along with the product. Avoid hanging for long periods; folding helps maintain the shape of the handloom weave.

7. Tassel Care: Gently comb the tassels with your fingers after washing to keep them from tangling.
