This Bhujodi Kala Cotton Saree is an elegant embodiment of minimalist luxury. It showcases the refined extra-weft weaving technique that has defined the Kutch textile landscape for generations. Crafted from eco-friendly Kala cotton, this saree offers a tactile experience that is as grounded as it is sophisticated.

This saree represents the pinnacle of sustainable luxury. The Jet black body provides a sophisticated canvas for the vibrant, multi-coloured borders and traditional Bhujodi weaving patterns. Each motif is painstakingly hand-inserted during the weaving process, creating a tactile, embossed effect that is the hallmark of authentic Kutch textiles.

Fabric: 100% Organic Kala Cotton

Colour: Jet Black with Multi-coloured accents

Craft: Traditional Bhujodi Extra-Weft Handloom Weaving.

Length: Approximately 6.2 to 6.5 meters (including 1 meter of a matching unstitched blouse piece).

Width: Approx. 45 inches.

Weight: Approx. 830 grams.

The Body: A solid, rich black base adorned with minimal, scattered Damroo motifs that allow the natural texture of the yarn to shine.

The Pallu (Decorative End): A dramatic display of traditional craftsmanship featuring horizontal bands, intricate geometric Damroo motifs placed in a large diamond shape, scatteredly placed Chaumukh, Dholki and Dhungali motifs in alternating shades of mustard, crimson, white and emerald.

The Border: A bold, structured border featuring parallel stripes of red, yellow, and green, framed by a delicate temple weave.

Finish: The pallu is finished with exquisite hand-knotted tassels (fringe) featuring colourful pompoms.

Feel: Breathable, durable and textured; it provides comfort in summers and moderate warmth in winters.

1. First Wash: Dry cleaning is highly recommended for the first wash to set the colours and preserve the intricate weft work.

2. Subsequent Washes: If hand-washing at home, use cold water and a very mild liquid detergent (or baby shampoo).

3. Process: Do not soak the saree for more than 5 minutes. Gently swirl it in the water; do not bleach or scrub, wring or twist the fabric, as this can damage the hand-woven motifs.

4. Drying: Always dry in the shade and away from direct sunlight to prevent the colours from fading. It is best to hang it on a padded hanger or lay it flat on a clean surface.

5. Ironing: Use a medium-heat setting. It is safer to iron on the reverse side of the saree to protect the raised weaving patterns.

6. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid using plastic covers; instead wrap the saree in a breathable muslin or cotton cloth bag given along with the product. Avoid hanging for long periods; folding helps maintain the shape of the handloom weave.

7. Tassel Care: Gently comb the tassels with your fingers after washing to keep them from tangling.
