This Bhujodi Kala Cotton Saree is an elegant embodiment of minimalist luxury. It showcases the refined extra-weft weaving technique that has defined the Kutch textile landscape for generations. Crafted from eco-friendly Kala cotton, this saree offers a tactile experience that is as grounded as it is sophisticated.

The vibrant red body acts as a bold, energetic canvas for the precision of Bhujodi extra-weft weaving. This technique is showcased in the architectural pallu, where master weavers have painstakingly plucked individual threads to create raised, geometric motifs that resemble delicate embroidery. This saree is a versatile statement piece for those who value the quiet luxury of authentic, slow-crafted heritage.

Fabric: 100% Organic Kala Cotton

Colour: Madder Red with Bright Mustard, Azure Blue, and Forest Green accents.

Craft: Traditional Bhujodi Extra-Weft Handloom Weaving.

Length: Approximately 6.2 to 6.5 meters (including 1 meter of a matching unstitched blouse piece).

Width: Approx. 45 inches.

Weight: Approx. 830 grams.

The Body: A rich, vibrant red canvas featuring tiny, multi-coloured hand-woven Damroo motifs adding a subtle twinkle to the drape.

The Pallu (Decorative End): A complex arrangement of horizontal stripes and traditional Bhujodi Chaumukh and Panchako motifs. The pallu transitions into a play of colours, featuring intricate Dungara motifs placed in a large diamond patterns, playful pompoms and dashed lines in blue, yellow, and green.

The Border: A sleek, multi-toned border with stripes of violet, green, and mustard, providing a sophisticated frame that contrasts beautifully with the primary red.

Finish: The saree is finished with a playful row of hand-knotted tassels in alternating blue, mustard, and green adding a touch of bohemian charm to the traditional silhouette.

Feel: Breathable, durable and textured; it provides comfort in summers and moderate warmth in winters.

1. First Wash: Dry cleaning is highly recommended for the first wash to set the colours and preserve the intricate weft work.

2. Subsequent Washes: If hand-washing at home, use cold water and a very mild liquid detergent (or baby shampoo).

3. Process: Do not soak the saree for more than 5 minutes. Gently swirl it in the water; do not bleach or scrub, wring or twist the fabric, as this can damage the hand-woven motifs.

4. Drying: Always dry in the shade and away from direct sunlight to prevent the colours from fading. It is best to hang it on a padded hanger or lay it flat on a clean surface.

5. Ironing: Use a medium-heat setting. It is safer to iron on the reverse side of the saree to protect the raised weaving patterns.

6. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid using plastic covers; instead wrap the saree in a breathable muslin or cotton cloth bag given along with the product. Avoid hanging for long periods; folding helps maintain the shape of the handloom weave.

7. Tassel Care: Gently comb the tassels with your fingers after washing to keep them from tangling.
