This Bhujodi Kala Cotton Saree is an elegant embodiment of minimalist luxury. It showcases the refined extra-weft weaving technique that has defined the Kutch textile landscape for generations. Crafted from eco-friendly Kala cotton, this saree offers a tactile experience that is as grounded as it is sophisticated.

This saree is a masterpiece of slow-fashion artistry. The rich terracotta hue is beautifully contrasted with electric blue and lime green accents, creating a contemporary palette that remains deeply rooted in traditional weaving techniques.

Fabric: 100% Organic Kala Cotton

Colour: Deep Terracotta Orange with Cobalt Blue and Lime Green accents.

Craft: Traditional Bhujodi Extra-Weft Handloom Weaving.

Length: Approximately 6.2 to 6.5 meters (including 1 meter of a matching unstitched blouse piece).

Width: Approx. 45 inches.

Weight: Approx. 830 grams.

The Body: The saree features a solid terracotta base that celebrates the Quiet Luxury of raw cotton. Fine, widely spaced blue pinstripes run vertically, elongating the silhouette and adding a modern, linear rhythm to the drape.

The Pallu (Decorative End): A striking departure from the minimalist body, the pallu is a dense showcase of extra-weft craftsmanship. It features bold horizontal bands interspersed with traditional Bhujodi motifs—including small geometric Dungara, Dholki and Chaumukh patterns. Small, traditional mirror work, catching the light subtly.

The Border: The saree is framed by a blue and green border with subtle vertical striations. This clean, understated boundary provides a modern contrast to the traditional base, ensuring the focus remains on the handcrafted texture of the weave.

Finish: The piece is finished with high-contrast, hand-tied tassels in cobalt blue and green, adding a playful, artisanal movement to the pallu.

Feel: Breathable, durable and textured; it provides comfort in summers and moderate warmth in winters.

To ensure the longevity of the natural fibers and the hues:

1. First Wash: Dry cleaning is highly recommended for the first wash to set the colours and preserve the intricate weft work.

2. Subsequent Washes: If hand-washing at home, use cold water and a very mild liquid detergent (or baby shampoo).

3. Process: Do not soak the saree for more than 5 minutes. Gently swirl it in the water; do not bleach or scrub, wring or twist the fabric, as this can damage the hand-woven motifs.

4. Drying: Always dry in the shade and away from direct sunlight to prevent the colours from fading. It is best to hang it on a padded hanger or lay it flat on a clean surface.

5. Ironing: Use a medium-heat setting. It is safer to iron on the reverse side of the saree to protect the raised weaving patterns.

6. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid using plastic covers; instead wrap the saree in a breathable muslin or cotton cloth bag given along with the product. Avoid hanging for long periods; folding helps maintain the shape of the handloom weave.

7. Tassel Care: Gently comb the tassels with your fingers after washing to keep them from tangling.
