This earthy and elegant Kala Cotton Stole in a warm rust-terracotta shade is a beautiful representation of sustainable luxury. Handcrafted by master weavers, it combines the minimalist beauty of plain-woven textures with vibrant, multi-coloured border accents.

This stole is a testament to the Old World cotton of Kutch. Unlike industrial cotton, Kala Cotton is organic by nature, rain-fed, and resilient, resulting in a fabric that has a distinct, earthy texture that softens beautifully with every wear.

Inspired by the sun-baked landscapes of Kutch, this stole features a rich rust-coloured body. It is designed for those who appreciate understated elegance, featuring a clean, solid expanse of fabric that highlights the natural grain of the yarn, finished with a sophisticated striped end piece.

Fabric: 100% Organic Kala Cotton

Colour: Rust/Terracotta with Multicoloured Border (Green, Blue, Lavender) Accents

Technique: Extra-Weft Bhujodi Handloom Weave

Dimensions: Approx. 70 cm x 200 cm (Standard Stole Size)

Embellishments: Hand-knotted tassels

Feel: Soft, durable and lightweight. It has a substantial, slightly grainy texture similar to fine khadi, providing excellent breathability and comfort against the skin.

Hand-Weaving: The yarn woven on traditional pit looms by skilled artisans from the Vankar community in Gujarat.

Bhujodi Weaving: The intricate geometric patterns and the striped borders are characteristic of the famous Bhujodi style, where extra-weft techniques are used to create raised motifs.

Artisanal Details: The ends are decorated with horizontal stripes in contrasting shades of forest green, slate blue and lavender. Tiny extra-weft geometric Chaumukh motifs are subtly peppered within these stripes.
The stole is finished with alternating blue and green hand-tied tassels- latkans, providing a playful and colourful contrast to the warm rust base.
