This Bhujodi Kala Cotton Saree is an elegant embodiment of minimalist luxury. It showcases the refined extra-weft weaving technique that has defined the Kutch textile landscape for generations. Crafted from eco-friendly Kala cotton, this saree offers a tactile experience that is as grounded as it is sophisticated.

This saree features a Deep Terracotta Orange base that serves as a high-energy canvas for technical extra-weft artistry. It is a bold expression of heritage, designed for the modern woman who appreciates the tactile soul of slow fashion.

Fabric: 100% Organic Kala Cotton

Colour: Deep Terracotta Orange with Cobalt Blue and Lime Green accents

Craft: Traditional Bhujodi Extra-Weft Handloom Weaving.

Length: Approximately 6.2 to 6.5 meters (including 1 meter of a matching unstitched blouse piece).

Width: Approx. 45 inches.

Weight: Approx. 830 grams.

The Body: The primary base is a saturated, sun-baked Terracotta Orange. This warm foundation is structured by rhythmic, linear stripes and tiny scattered mirror work in lime green, which elongates the drape and provides a clean, modern architecture to the organic textile.

The Pallu (Decorative End): The pallu is a dense landscape of traditional Bhujodi Dungara and Dholki motifs. It features horizontal bands of intricate extra-weft work rendered exclusively in cobalt Blue and lime Green and hand-inserted geometric motifs and traditional mirror-work.

The Border: Contrasting Blue and Green dual-tone selvedge.

Finish: The saree is completed with hand-knotted tassels that alternate between blue and green providing a playful, artisanal movement to the garment.

Feel: Breathable, durable and textured; it provides comfort in summers and moderate warmth in winters.

1. First Wash: Dry cleaning is highly recommended for the first wash to set the colours and preserve the intricate weft work.

2. Subsequent Washes: If hand-washing at home, use cold water and a very mild liquid detergent (or baby shampoo).

3. Process: Do not soak the saree for more than 5 minutes. Gently swirl it in the water; do not bleach or scrub, wring or twist the fabric, as this can damage the hand-woven motifs.

4. Drying: Always dry in the shade and away from direct sunlight to prevent the colours from fading. It is best to hang it on a padded hanger or lay it flat on a clean surface.

5. Ironing: Use a medium-heat setting. It is safer to iron on the reverse side of the saree to protect the raised weaving patterns.

6. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid using plastic covers; instead wrap the saree in a breathable muslin or cotton cloth bag given along with the product. Avoid hanging for long periods; folding helps maintain the shape of the handloom weave.

7. Tassel Care: Gently comb the tassels with your fingers after washing to keep them from tangling.
